How to Use Japanese Tenugui (Hand towel)

Japanese Tenugui is a type of hand towels. As you may already know, Tenugui is usually used as a wiping tool. In addition to that, Tenugui is used for a variety of purposes such as wrapping, interior decoration, a scarf, a head band, and covering. I introduce how to use Tenugui that will enrich your life.

First of all, Tenugui is a type of hand towels as I mentioned before. You can use Tenugui in the same way as a hand towel, for example, using after washing your hands or face. One of the simplest and easiest ways to use Tenugui is as a place mat for your meal. Although it is simple and easy, it adds color to your meals. Another way is to hang it on a wall as an interior decoration. Also, Tenugui can be a cover of your bag and an open shelf. It should be better than ordinary and boring covers!

A big difference between hand towels and Tenugui is slenderness. Tenugui is usually thinner than a hand towel. Because of that, you can wrap up small items such as a book, a lunch box, and a wine bottle. Your friend will be happy if she or he received a gift wrapped up with Tenugui.

You can use Tenugui to keep your kitchen clean. It will dry easily. However, since Tenugui will lose its colors, use Tenugui of light colors.

Japanese crafts like Tenugui are practicable as well as well-designed compared to modern crafts.

There are many gay tours Japan, run by many different agencies, but finding the best can take some hard work. ‘Best’ means different things to different people, especially when talking about holidays. Finding the best gay tours Japan should take time, because you don’t want to rush into an international holiday without proper forethought.

The best gay tours will be the ones that satisfy your needs. You will get no satisfaction if you choose a gay hiking tour when you don’t like to hike. Take some time to think about what kind of tour you want. If you can’t decide between hiking the hills of Oze National Park or embracing the Tokyo nightlife, then choose a tour that can accommodate both.

To find the best tour for you, make sure you find the differences between singles tours and couples, and family tours. If you’re a single gay male or female and you accidentally choose a couples tour, you may end up being left out of some of the fun activities. Family tours usually involve activities for young children, so if you don’t have any you will want to avoid these.

The best tours usually have some activities that are optional, so you can choose to sleep in instead of going on that early morning boat ride. An Overview of Rail Travel In Greater Toyko

You might look at the picture above and think that a small child just grabbed a bunch of coloured pens and attacked a map, however dear traveller this spaghetti like mess is in fact all of the rail lines that run through Tokyo. You could not be blamed for finding it a little intimidating, I know I certainly did when I first came here.

But once you get to know the system its really not so bad and since the city itself is so large its really unlikely you will use most of the lines on your first visit.

There are around thirty railway companies that operate in Greater Tokyo sharing 121 lines between them. The Japan Rail company or JR as its usually known operates twenty-three lines in central Tokyo and the outlying areas. What most surely be considered JR’s crowning achievement is the Yamanote line. This railway line encircles all the major stations in the centre of Tokyo, its entirely possible to spend your first vacation in Tokyo only travelling on the Yamanote. Another JR line thats quite important to first time visitors is the Chuo line, which cuts across the middle of the Yamanote line, connecting Shinjuku and Tokyo stations, before heading to Chiba in the east and Mitaka in the west.

The subway system in Tokyo is very extensive, there are 282 stations on 14 lines, shared between two companies, Tokyo Metro and Toei.

Now despite the large number of lines and stations getting around is fairly easy, as all of the stations have their names written in English letters and a number of the lines announce the next stop in English so its really not so bad if you get yourself a rail map you can carry with you. Also if you stand around holding a map looking a little bit lost its almost guaranteed someone will come up and help you out, the Japanese are very friendly in this way. So there is nothing to stop you for just getting out and about trying out some of the lines for yourself and seeing what treasures you can find in this awe inspiring city.

You will be very grateful if you follow these suggestions as it will help your trip to go much smoother. Good luck and have fun in Japan.
